In the early 1900s, Roy Sands pioneered the "Paupack Coal Company", which was soon acquired by Walter Kostige in 1937. With a vision of growth, Walter introduced Fuel Oil sales in 1956, renaming it to “Paupack Coal & Fuel Oil”. By 1987, the torch passed to Linda Strong and her husband Mike. The 90s saw the dynamic entry of Chris Strong, who not only joined the family business but also redefined it by selling its coal side and establishing “Paupack Fuel Oil”. With a knack for evolution, Chris, in 1999, integrated Oil Burner and Plumbing Services under an umbrella corporation named "Strong Enterprises". The following years saw acquisitions, expansions, and the entrance of the fourth generation, Ryan, in 2013. However, 2023 brought change when Button Oil merged with “Paupack Fuel”, allowing “Strong Enterprises Corporation” to immerse deeper into cutting-edge HVAC technologies. Today, as a testament to resilience and growth, Strong Enterprises offers a vast range of services, from refrigeration to electrical system installations, serving both the lake region and beyond.
